Crypto KOL campaigns: vet, price, launch and measure

A working guide for token teams, exchanges and Web3 products booking KOLs on X, Telegram and YouTube. Maintained by 3betmedia, a creator-led growth agency for crypto, iGaming and prediction market brands.

The short version: follower counts are the least useful number in a KOL deck. Check the wallet, check the audience, agree what you are paying for, and decide how you will measure it before the first post goes out.

1. Know which creator role you need

A KOL is booked for reach and authority. A KOC is a real product user whose content carries proof. Mixing the two up is the first budget leak.

2. Vet before you book

On-chain behaviour is public. So is a creator's history of claims. Read both before you send a contract.

3. Price it and decide how to pay

Flat fee, performance deal or tokens: each changes who carries the risk. Separate the cost lines so you can see what each part of the fee buys.

4. Sequence the launch

Who posts first matters as much as who posts. Callers, community accounts and explainers do different jobs in the first 48 hours.

5. Pick the format

6. Measure what came back

Swaps in the 30 minutes after a post, holders at day seven, sign-ups by tagged link. Decide the measure before launch, not after.
